I have been involved with photography since the early 1970's and started own photographic business in 1989 which ran until my retirement in 2016. During this period i offered services in Wedding/Portrait/Commercial and Industrial Photography undertaking assignments for countless private individuals, a large number of both large and small companies, including many household names.
I gained my Licentiate Qualifications from The Master Photographers Association in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging. I also gained Associateship Qualifications from The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and The British Professional Photographers Association, though I now no longer subscribe to membership of either organisation.
I have been past regional chairman of the Master Photographers Association East Anglian Region (Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire). Chairman of The Master Photographers Association Education and Training Committee. Winning the Master Photographers Association East Anglian Region Commercial and Industrial photographic award and countless BPPA national monthly commercial and industrial photography awards.
I have also tutored in City and Guilds 9231 photography (with 100% pass rate for students) in various modules. Tutored in the use of Photoshop and Lightroom. Spent a number of years as BBC Radio Essex Sound Advice photography expert, giving advice to the public during live radio broadcasts doing approximately 6x2 hour programme sessions a year. I have also established in house photographic studio's for major companies and advised on equipment and techniques.
My latest award has been attained through The Leica Society winning the Oscar Barnack Trophy for the best pair of large Black & White prints in their annual exhibition 2011.
Whilst I no longer provide professional photographic services nor do I engage in photography as a hobbiest as such I still have a keen interest in photography and enjoy taking the odd snap or two when out and about.
